Barracudas Events
5/4/24 Berkeley Barracudas Meet & Greet / Fitting Event @ VFW 2:30 - 4:00 pm
5/25/24 11:00am - 12 noon Swim Evaluations & Suit Fitting Event @ the BSC
New swimmers & interested families - Come meet some of our swim coaches and have your swimmers evaluated by our coaches. We will also have our Swim Outlet fit kits on hand for anyone in need of a suit fitting
6/8/24 Swim Team Registration deadline
*Info and funds must be received by this date to be guaranteed a Team shirt by start of season!*

6/17/24 Regular morning and afternoon practices start
6/22/24 Mock Meet/TimeTrials @ BSC
This will be a practice meet to get our new swimmers and families familiar with the format of our meets and an introduction to the volunteer positions. We will have veteran parents working alongside new parents in all positions (timers, marshalls, scoring, etc.) to get them familiar with how the meet runs. It is also an excellent opportunity for our coaches to capture times for our swimmers. Our hope is that this will help all our swimmers and families get through first meet nerves and be much more comfortable knowing what to expect at our swim meets!
7/6/24 Swim-A-Long
This is a super fun and endurance building fundraising event for our team! Our swimmers challenge themselves to see how many laps they can swim within 3 hours. They collect pledges per lap or flat rate donations from friends and family to help cover expenses like awards, equipment and gifts for our team. We provide lap counters, music and snacks, and the kids always amaze us with how many laps they can do! Parents and siblings are welcome to participate as well.
7/27/24 Awards BBQ @ BSC
Our end of Season Awards picnic is a wonderful way to celebrate our season and the accomplishments of our swimmers! We hope that you all can attend.
Important Info
We are excited to announce that we have new team suits this year! We have a Berkeley Barracudas team store set up with Swim Outlet.
We ask that all team members bring short fins and goggles to all practices. You are not required to purchase them through the team store but we have included some reasonable options there for your convenience.
Summer 2024
Practice Schedule
Morning Practices
Group A: 8:30 am - 10:00 am
Group B: 10:00 am - 11:00 am
Group C: 11:00 am - 11:30 am
*All practice groups are assigned by our coaching staff based on skills and endurance and may change over the course of the season*
If your child attends BH Summer Playground Camp the counselors will walk them to and from morning practice. We will send out a survey after practice groups are assigned for you to let us know if your swimmers will be using this service.
Afternoon Practices
We offer afternoon practices to our swimmers who are participating in day camps for other sports & interests or are attending school. These practices are small (1-2 lanes max) so we ask that you use this form to register as soon as you know your schedule so we can plan accordingly. Please fill in one form per swimmer.

Private Coaching -
30 minute sessions
$40/session or $150 for a package of 4 sessions
